This video shows excerpts from the seventh and eighth lessons of a nine-lesson unit on magnets for third graders. During the first part of the double-period lesson, students finish building toys they have designed “using the secrets of magnets.” During the second part, they present the toys and the principles of magnets they used, as well as the aspects of design they had to perfect.
