The World Association of Lesson Studies (WALS) aims to promote and advance the research and practices focused on Lesson Studies in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning. It provides a platform for research collaboration, mutual assistance and information exchange among its members.

The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching

The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) aims to support new and existing cutting-edge classroom practices in schools, heightening teaching and learning effectiveness and striving for learning and teaching excellence. Lesson Study practices form a strong component of CELT’s work.

Indonesian Association of Lesson Study (IALS)

Indonesian Association of Lesson Study (IALS) aims to allow educational practitioners in Indonesia to exchange information, experience, and best practices of Lesson Study in order to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.

IMPULS Project at Tokyo Gakugei University

As an international center of Lesson Study in mathematics, Tokyo Gakugei University and its network of laboratory schools assists teacher professionals to learn about Lesson Study and prepare them to create systems for long-term, independent educational improvement in mathematics teaching.

Netherlands

Lesson Study NL

Lesson Study NL seeks to strengthen and disseminate the knowledge and expertise in Lesson Study in primary and secondary education, secondary vocational education and higher education in the Netherlands.

Switzerland

Laboratoire Lausannois Lesson Study (3LS)

3LS tests, adapts, and disseminates scholarly inquiry and training on Lesson Study through research and professional development projects. 

United Kingdom

Teacher Development Trust Network

The Teacher Development Trust Network is a collaborative partnership of schools and colleges committed to innovation and improvement in staff professional development. All members of the network are supported in implementing Lesson Study.

University of Leicester Lesson Study Research Group (LSRG)

The LSRG uses Lesson Study in work with schools and universities to identify ways in which pedagogy can be made more responsive to students, through joint collaboration in planning, teaching, observing, noticing and analyzing the quality of learning in lessons.

University of Exeter Lesson Study Network
