This video features a second grade lesson designed to support students as they explore how to count, name, and write a number greater than 1,000 (specifically, 2,354). Students share different strategies and engage in a classroom discussion that surfaces the efficiency of counting in groups (including groups of a thousand). This work is part of a school-wide Lesson Study effort focused on building TTP classroom routines.
