Description

Four video feature a series of third/fourth grade lessons designed to support students as they explore the relationship between ways of counting and mathematical expression. Students share different strategies and engage in classroom discussions that surface:

• mathematical expressions can be used to represent various ways of counting
• ways of counting can be inferred from given mathematical expressions
• what each number in the mathematical expression is representing
